Stopping Your 4Runner

I have a silly question.
Since I've done my lift and put my larger tires on, it sure seems like it's just a tad bit harder to stop my 4Runner, especially when I come to an abrupt stop. Almost feels like it's heavier.
Is this normal. What causes this?

Normal. Bigger wheels/tires = more weight and more rotating mass... which means your brakes need to work harder to bring you to a stop.

Thanks, PD! :) I just wanted to make sure I wasn't losing my mind or that something wasn't starting to wear.
