Storage Box

I decided to try my hand at building a storage box and I am pretty happy with the results.

-5/8 plywood, 2 sheets
-black auto carpet
-1 can of carpet glue
-miscellaneous hardware
-black bed-liner paint

I spent a little over $200.00 including drawer glides.

The drawer glides were around $60.00. Heavy duty w/full extension.

Ever think about putting a lock on the box?

I'm just thinking about 'worst case scenario' in case some scumbag wants to break into you 4R, and see whats in there.

Thanks! Actually, the box isn't as big as it looks. The back of box just touches the back of the second row seats and stops at the tail gate approx. 35" deep.

I just finished it up and plan to add a lock. Still debating on the style of locking mechanism I want to go with. The box is not bolted down, but it is pretty heavy. I would never leave my AR15 in the truck unattended. I only plan to use the rifle storage for day trips or when I go camping. Thanks.
