Are you still running your spidertrax spacers?
I'm curious how the 285s been fitting with or without spacers on the stock trail rims.

Currently researching about this exact setup and figure why not ask!
Hows the rubbing been if you have any?

Just UCA and front fender mod was all that was needed?

I am still running the spacers and I think the stance is perfect with the stock Trail rims and the spacers.

The only rubbing I have experienced is in reverse at full lock over a bump (basically backing into driveway over curb it rubs). But I have not rubbed once out on the trail.

I did pull the front fender as far forward as possible and my local alignment shop was able to get four degrees of caster out of the Light Racing Upper Control Arms while still keeping camber and toe in specs.

My original plan was to swap out to the TRD wheels but I am really loving the way the Trail wheels look blacked out and without center caps so I will probably powder-coat them black and keep them.

I got my first body damage although I didn't get to snap a picture of it yet. Just a little dent in the rear bumper.

Here is a pic of the bumper dent I got. I will have to get the heat gun and try to pop that out sometime this week.

Unfortunately I don't know as I put on the spacers with the lift so I never test fitted the tires without them. I would pull them off now to test but I used lock-tite to put spacers on and I don't want to break that bond. I am sure there are some members on here that are running 285/70's with Trail wheels and no spacers that can tell you about fitment

Another weekend adventure. This time we took a back road over Mingus mountain from Cottonwood over to Prescott Valley. Some beautiful colors with the changing trees and I got my first body damage although I didn't get to snap a picture of it yet. Just a little dent in the rear bumper.

Love the white. Looks good with the TRD Rims.

Thanks. Those are actually stock Trail wheels dipped black though, not TRD wheels.

Jealous, man, that looks awesome! Definitely going to take a trip down to Flagstaff this year, need to get my snow fix in! I noticed in your earlier pictures you had your spare up on the roof rack. I'm planning on doing the same once i put my Gobi on. How much of a pain is it to sling that up there, or is it not too bad for the amount of times you do it?

To be honest, for me, it is not a problem at all. However, I am 6'4" and I lift five days a week so shoulder-pressing 75lbs is super easy. I would try it out a few times before ordering a roof mount for the tire to see how hard it is for you.

If you can get the tire up and lean it on the rack though it is really easy to push it on up there. Someday I will get a rear bumper with a swing-out so I don't have to take the tire off though. My garage does not allow me to leave it on the roof so it is a time-eater to mount it up there every time I go off-roading.

Thanks, that's what i figured but it helps to get some validation! The wife was bragging last night about push pressing 85# for reps, so I'll make her the tire queen! Put that functional fitness to good use

So over the holiday weekend I took a trip to snowboard Wolf Creek in Colorado. They had a really good base already but got like 19" fresh powder while I was there so it was amazing

On the way back from Wolf I decided to stop at Canyon de Chelly. Really beautiful place

While I don't regret getting my rig in black, I must admit that, given the chance to have gotten it in white, I would have been hard-pressed not to have done so.

I still miss my white Trooper. :moping:

Yeah I really love the way these look in white but honestly I think all the colors they are offered in look good

Well I finally made it to Death Valley but under totally different circumstances than I originally planned. I had planned a multi-day camping trip to explore in the 4R but with the floods they got most of the fun roads were closed so I had to cancel my trip.

But last weekend I drove to Mammoth Mountain to snowboard and decided to spend some time in Death Valley on the way there and on the way back. However we decided to take my sister's Grand Cherokee (*gasp* I know) instead of the 4R. Here are a few pics I snapped on the trip:

I got to explore Zabriskie Point, Badwater Basin, Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, and Titus Canyon in Death Valley.
