Strap to anything awning

Does anyone have this or know of anyone who has one of these? If so,what is your opinion on it. Wanted to get some feed back before going forward with it. I have stock roof racks. I'm not affiliated with this company. Just wanna see if anyone had any Experience with this.

I've never seen or heard of them until now. But looking at those pics, especially the one extending from the hatch, it looks to me like some serious paint rubbing would be happening in windy conditions. And the other one off the side of the vehicle is clearly billowing and flapping in the wind. Makes me wonder how abrasive they would be to the exterior finish.
