Stuck cup-holder in rear seat arm rest

So guys, I picked up 06 SE yesterday and noticed the rattle coming from inside the cup-holder in the rear seat center arm rest. I wanted to take a look inside but found that it is stuck. Not that I care about cup-holder (I dont eat or drink in my 4R) but want to fix the rattle and for that I need to open it. Rattle is just driving me crazy.
Did any of you experienced it? Is there any way to open that without breaking it?

Mine was stuck before as well. I ended up pulling out the center armrest, then unzipping the fabric and pulling it about 1/2 way off to reveal the screws. Once I you get the screws out you can slide out the entire assembly and then get it open.

One thing to note is that it has a gravity lock. When it is in the up position it won't open. It has to be level (remember that when you have it out). The other is that there was a TSB on the rattle at some point in time. I remember reading it someplace.

In my case the metal on one side of the armrest had bowed in a bit and was binding with the holder mechanism (the holder worked perfectly out of the armrest). Once I addressed that, it worked fine and has ever since.
