... not me, decent story though:
Behind the gym that I work out at is a small lake and a trail that goes around the lake and around an old barn with a few nice hills, ruts, and puddles. I've never been through it, it looks like a lot of kids drive around it going way to fast.
Anyway, I got on a treadmill and began my work out. All of the treadmills overlook this lake and trail through huge windows. A few minutes later a Toyota T100 drives off of the main road, onto the dirt road. It is about a 45 or 50 degree incline (50 yards long) into about a 2 foot deep puddle. He makes it to the puddle and stops. Period. That's it. That was the extent of his off-roading adventure.
About two minutes later a full size dodge ram backs up to pull him out. Nothing. I sigh, turn off the treadmill and jog out to my t4r. I pulled around to see if they wanted any help. The kid in the dodge says "If I don't have enough power to get him out there is no way you can."
I turn to the guy who's truck is actually stuck and say "do you need help? If not I'm going to finish my work out" He replys "yea if you want to try that'd be great, what do I have to lose?"
Well, the dodge moves, I hook up a tow strap, t4r in 4LO diff still unlocked and in 1st gear. Pulled him out first try, minimal wheel slip. I proceeded to pull him up the incline and back on the main road.
He thanks me and I pull back into the parking lot of the gym and go back upstairs to finish my work out. When I get up there everyone applauds. they enjoyed the show. I wonder if anyone will go buy a 4runner now?
