When i was 16, I did a ton stupid stuff to my car that I look back on and wish I would of saved my money. So if you're a teenager I think you can get away with the fake scoops and chrome trim crap. but as an adult... yeah... just watch how proud that older guy is of his fake blower lol

I'm 17 with a nice lifted 4Runner built on a budget. (Just have to know how to spend wisely) Also building a 65 Mustang with my dad that had an inline 6, now with a small block 302. There is no excuses for teenagers to only know how to "rice" their vehicles. Lol. Granted some people don't have that knowing yet until they reach an older age.

This is good stuff but...

I understand different people have different styles and taste. I personally don't get the low rider thing but I respect the amount of man hours and work they put into some of the cars. That and the hand done paint jobs are nuts when you think about the time it takes to get the desired effect.

Some of the things in this post are just Amazing people think it is "Cool" or what ever it is. It is just my .02 but still really. If it is functinal, makes it work better, or has a legit purpose then cool, if not why put it on your car/wipe/truck/ what ever the hell that things was made out of wood,lol...

yeppers the "pointless, tasteless, wastes of money" is an opinion, those that modify their vehicle think it either looks better, is cool, crawls better, etc etc, Just as I "think" putting 20"+ wheels on a 4x4 is pointless, or brushguards are worthless, thats my opinion, as they guy that spends the money on those things, thinks its nice, cool, looks better etc, I dont, on the flip side, he sees my rig and laughs at me, thinking taking a $30K vehicle over rocks is stupid and pointless.
When it comes down to it, I like something some may not, and vise versa, so to make fun of someone that lowers a car, puts a wing on it etc just think, they are doing the same at us.

Yes and no. Putting a huge wing on the back of a civic (stock) IS pointless, tasteless, and a waste of money. It is the owners car, he can do what he wants...but he will be laughed at for it. Now, if the kid invested a lot of cash into the engine, suspension, drive train, etc and then put a wing on it because he actually hit the speeds where the wing played an important role, well then, go for it, no laughter. I think we all are a little shocked that the 4R LE comes with 20's, that is why a lot of owners change them out for smaller ones. You don't see a lot of owners opting for them either. If you notice most of the cars in this thread just don't have a simple mod done to them, and if it is just one simple mod it is rather stupid, the point of the thread. A lot of people tweak their cars a bit here or there, but it takes that special person to actually make it stupid, and those are saluted here in this thread. You are 100% though, it is the owners car, they can do what they want with it, if they are happy great for them....does not mean we can not be happy with laughter as well.

This is a perfect example of one of my points, the guy in Z thinks his ride is cool, he like it, its his money so if he likes it, so be it.
Most of us here, thinks its either "riced out" or stupid, Id never do anything like that, but its not MY car, or my money, hell the Z guy probley laughs at my rig, and thats cool.
