Subwoofers in your 4Runner???

I got Boston Acoustic SL60's in the front and BA SL65's in the rear powered by a JL 300/4 amp. I also have two 12" JL W3v2 subs powered by a JL 500/1. Also have a rockford capacitor. Whole truck has dynomat and am rocking the Avic N-2 along with a pioneer MP8 headunit. Here are some pics of my setup.

thinking about buying this with my tax money instead of spending it all on a brush guard...
does anybody know off hand what the width of the back on a 4runner is? i don't feel like going outside at 12 and measuring. i'm sure though that the width of 28-7/16 will have room back there.
i think this is a good deal anyways

I'm not to crazy about the way aftermarket HU's look in my year and that is a viable alternative . How much of a difference is there from the factory sound ?

im just got myself 2 12" Kicker CVR subs. Great subs for window shaking bass (when i want it). They are surprisingly tight when the gains are set appropriately.
The polk DB212 box is a GREAT box as well..nice thing about the kicker and polk box, you can find them right in a local store

Well when I bought my 4runner, it didn't come with one. I have 2% tint from my rear windows back so no one can see in. Although I have left my rear window down and ran some errands with no problems. I'm actually hoping someone will break in and steal it so I can use that money on something else.

I would imagine you could give your insurance carrier a call and if it isn't automatically covered you can see if an endorsement can be added onto your policy to cover it.

i'll leave everything open for you so you won't have to be gentle. i actually was considering selling my equipment but i just won't get enough back for everything i have in there to make it worth it. I also have thought if/when I sell my 4runner if i should leave all the equipment in or change it back to stock. i don't know how much more i'd get, if any if I left it all in.
I originally had two 12" JL subs with a 750 watt autotech amp with a JL 150 watt amp for my Memphis door speakers, but my two JL's wore out, and i got two memphis 12"s but the rms on them weren't as much as i was pushing to them so they blew, and now i have two cheap dub audio 12"s till i can afford better ones but surprisingly they are damn good

This thread is really old. Oh well, I will play too. I bought two Audiobahn 10's in a ported box with a 600w amp off of a friend for about $130. They sound so much better than I expected them to. I never turn them up all the way because they are way too loud for my door speakers. I will get a pic at some point.
