Suggestion for a new forum

What about a forum for putting the face behind the name and the truck. In other words, each members posts a thread with a pic of themselves and a picture of their 4Runner with a brief Bio. Maybe it would make the site slightly more personable... ?

It is kind of a good idea. I am somewhat concern with people on the net using all the info and pictures. Someone would show my picture with a story of a Mass-murderer.

Look at Paris Hilton that had a video shown all over the inter-net. Ok, this might be a bad example since she now has a TV show and now everyone knows her.:confused:

I guess it might be alright, I would like opinions from other forum members before I decide to put my face on the net.

No, really it's me... well if I buy one of those workout home gym thingys they tell me it would be.

I guess if someone wants to start a thread, the Gallery section would be the best place for it. If someone wants to start a thread, be my guest.:cool:
 
I was thinking of more of an entirely seperate forum so each member can have their own thread to encourage some sort of organization. At least we will be able to easily so who's picture belong's to which thread... maybe... kinda.. sorta..

OK, I see were your coming from. I'll relay this info to Thai, last time I heard, he was overseas in Vietnam, so it might be awhile.

Interesting idea. However, i am not too sure because i don't think many people will participate in it. Just look at the current pics...people are covering up their license plate (for unknown reason in my opinion). I don't think too many people will give out more personal info about themselves.

At this point, I will leave it up to the poster to decide if he/she wants to post personal info and personal pics.

I notice when you go to the Forum for Explorers, I cannot see the pictures as I am not a member. We don't have that protection here. Members and non-members can see everything about this site. I am not saying we shouldn't do it, just pointing this out. Hopefully other people on this forum can chime in.

For me, if we start a new forum or just a thread in the Gallery section, I would put my mug shot up, along with my 4Runner.

ChuckyD, we have had some fun with this, but I did talk to Thai and for now, we are not going to start a separate forum. If anyone should start a thread, the Gallery section is probably the best way to go, and I promise, if I post, the picture will really be me.
 
I am going to try and be serious here. Thai and GatorGreg started this forum and they are currently the Administrators. After posting for awhile here, Thai asked me to be a Moderator. When members ask for a change in the forum, such as changing the pictures, or a new forum, Thai and GatorGreg are the people in charge. I passed along the request to Thai about a new forum, (as I re-call you (Inman74) also requested a new forum, which I also sent to Thai). I sometimes give my opinion, but Thai and GatorGreg is (are) the man (men) in charge.

Just to clarify, Thai and I are in fact TWO different people :D
