Suggestions needed for 2000 4runner LTD

Hope you can help.

I am about to replace my first set of tires and need some advise.

Any suggestions????

Can i put a bigger tire on without mods???

or should i stay with the stock 265-70/16??

I was looking at the Terra Grapplers....seemed like a good choice...then i heard some bad about them(noise, tread wear..etc)

I am looking for a tire that will preform well in the Snow and Wet and also have an aggressive profile.

Any help would be appreciated.

As I've seen this question asked a million times, I would encourage you to use the search function and read through a few pages worth of threads on this subject.

Someone may have a suggestion that they will post up with, but people tend to not want to type the same responses over and over again.

might be able to do a 275 70/75-16 something like that definitely not a 285.
I would look into maybe a 255 type of tire.

max you can do at stock height is 265/75/R16

I would suggest you stay stock because it looks fine, and will get better mpg and perform the same.

Get the Nitto's they are great tires in snow and rain and are pretty quiet for an all terrian tire. thats just my opinion though.

For a more aggressive look go with a 265/75/16 or 275/70/16.

The Terra Grapplers are popular and I haven't heard bad things about them. The Duratracs are a new popular choice as well as the classic BFG KO.

I upgraded to 17" Tundra rims, but have the equivalent of 265/75/16.

Currently have 285 Nittos and they work great, got first chance to try them out in the snow on Saturday and I was impressed. Before the Nittos I had Deuler Revos (in stock 265/70 size) and they worked well too. Got about 40k out of the Revos

I would go with a 265/75R16 if I were you...slightly meatier but still small enough to fit without issue.

BFG's are my favorite...have been running BFG MudTerrains on my truck since I bought it, but if that's too agressive for you, check out the AllTerrains. They're also an amazing performer!
