Sunglass holder won't stay closed?

Yes I did search and I see all sorts of links to Homelink install, but my problem is simple. The sunglass holder now will not stay closed and pops open at random-even with nothing stored inside it.

Suggestions please?

If you look up at the compartment area, there is a little metal tab which latches the lid. You could try bending that out a little to see if it helps.

Yeah I got the duct tape out already.

bend the tab toward the front of the vehicle correct? I have no natural instinct for this type of thing.....

Yeah, if you're looking up at it, bend it towards you. Do it a tiny bit at a time.
