Sunglass Storage Area Rattle?

ok i did a search on rattles and only thing that comes up is the sunroof rattle and stuff related to that tsb.

my problem is that the sunglass storage bin and surrounding front map light pod rattles when i run over expansion joints or potholes or anything that causes the frame to flex.

1. it rattles whether there is something in the sunglass bin or not
2. if i press on the trim work around the rear of the front map light pod, it still somewhat rattles
3. if i press on the trim around the front of the map light trim or on the left side of it, the rattle goes away

also i have to evenly apply pressure and quite abit of pressure for the rattle to go away.

has anyone else had this issue?

if so what was your solution?

i am building a list of stuff to take to the dealer around the end of the month to resolve some issues such as

1. the rear wiper only wipes about 1" from the tip
2. sunglass storage bin rattles
3. 1700 rpm harmonic noise
4. feel a stuttering on steering wheel when turned 1/4 or 1/2 and below 5 mph

I do not understand what you mean by #1? Do you mean that the rear wiper does not wipe the window all the way to the bottom? I am not too happy with the way the rear wiper wipes either.

I never had a problem with the sunglass compartment rattling. I have had two of them: before homelink and after!

I just replaced my sunglasses holder panel with the Homelink panel, and when I removed the old panel, I noticed that one of the metal clips that hold it in place was very loose...This could be the cause of your rattle...
It is super easy to remove to check it out. Just reach to the very front of the assembly and pull straight down, and it will come right out...Good luck

there was another thread with the same issue. only the top 1" of the wiper will wipe the rear glass.

good example is this:

pretend only the top is actually touching the glass and the rest is just floating above the glass.

My rear wiper blade was doing something similar to this. I found that the back of the blade holder was stuck inside the wiper holder, not letting it lay flat on the window. This probably dosn't make sense but you might just make sure the blade will pivot at the hinge; once it is lose it might work. This was the case with mine, could me something totaly different with yours.
