Sunroof issue-Believe battery the cause.

Just looking for some feedback on my thought process.

I have a 2011 with factory sunroof and original battery. The sunroof was giving me issues with closing, and would auto-reverse as the glass was pushing the wind deflector down. I calibrated it, but the problem persisted.

I paid a bit more attention to when the issue occurred and found that the sunroof closes just fine when driving, but not at idle or near idle, or when the engine is off.

So, what do y'all think?

1. Moving my lazy butt and replacing the battery will fix it.
2. Moving my lazy butt and replacing the battery won't fix it.
3. Leave the old battery until nothing works properly

Funny because I'm now having this exact same problem after installing new UCAs and doing a zero point, TCS and ABS calibrations. I'd love to have an answer also.

Sounds like you just have dirt or foreign matter in the slide track that interferes with the opening of the sunroof. Clean the track (left and rightside) really good and then lubricate the track rails with white lube and run the sunroof back and forth to work it in to the moving parts... that should do it! Let us know how you make out; you're not the first member here that has run into this issue, Best to you,
