Sunroof Leaking Near the Left of Sun Visor

My roof is leaking again and I thought I had fixed it already by running a weed wacker line through both drainage holes on the sun roof a while ago (which were clogged). The sunroof doesn't work on my truck so to clean them again I have to unbolt all 4 nuts to remove the window and clean them. Any other solutions to resolve the leak?

I unclogged my sunroof drains and it still leaked. Mine also doesn't open anyway, so I just sealed it off from the top with clear caulk. Hasn't leaked a drop since.

yea, I just got a tube of clear silicone outdoor caulk and caulked all around the edges. Kind of wish I had used more, but I'll re-apply if it ever leaks again.

Mines been leaking ever since i got it about four years ago. I used epoxy but it dried up after a year or so. Can't believe i didn't think about silicone considering I just sealed the garage sky lights at my parents house after they leaked all winter. That's next up when it's a nice day out.

I wouldn't try to seal it off, that's not a great solution, you can remove the glass if inoperable to clean drains, find out where it's leaking, for me with was a rear left drain tube that popped off the tray, I just removed the rear grab handle and rear 1/4 trim pryed the headliner don't gently and used a long pair of pliers and reattached. The headliner backer is water proof so a leak could show up anywhere depending on the angle you park.

redneck soultion with IVY LEAGUE style

I have had clogged drains --- which as you know creates a total mess.

If you decide to unplug the drains, you need to be careful to not damage the system / down pipes.
The best tool for this job is a length of Category 5 wire / cable - also called cat5 / or Ethernet cable. Just grab a 5 ft length that is not being used to connect your wife's computer / printer or WiFi. Snip off the ends- called RJ45's and you will find its a perfect diameter to slide down the drain tube...... and most important its flexible and easy to work with and does not present the risk of damage that a coat hanger or rigid metal wire or cable could.

If you plan to seal your sunroof --- not something I am recommending, using Marine grade materials, calking, silicon sealer will radically improve your chance of a meaningful result. They are designed to work in submerged conditions and are "flexible" during most of their life span.

It’s dry after about a week of rain, maybe a few days less than that. My tube of silicone was broken at the base of the tip so it was a pretty rough time applying it but hey I’m dry now. Just don’t look down at it from above and we’re fine. Haha
