Hello everyone, I've got a '96 4runner, and I'm just curious as to whether the sunroof tilt function is on the same mechanism as the sliding function.
My cables for it are broken, since buying used, and I don't really want to buy the $200 cables to replace them. It's crazy. I asked some auto part people, including a fellow 4runner owner, but nobody seems to know if the tilt and sliding functions are interconnected.
I have tried resetting it by holding the tilt button down (both ways, because I've never been able to get it to work, so I have no idea which way is open and close), to no avail. All it does is make the motor click once, and then nothing. Sliding button does absolutely nothing.
Tried searching for this specific issue, but I could not find anything pertaining to the tilt function specifically.
