Super Bowl XLVIII

Not to take away from a dominate win by the Sea Chickens, and the NFC Best (The NFC West), but I just wish this was a better game. Every year I want a good Super Bowl. The Steelers beating my Cardinals was a GREAT game! That made Super Bowl Sunday fun. I feel so let down.

Doritos won the commercials this year! Both of theirs were awesome! The rest were blah.

Watch out for next year, I think the NFC Best will be in the Super Bowl again! This year 3 teams had 10 wins or better! Next year, St Louis is going to be better! The NFC West will be a contender by all 4 teams! They will once again beat each other up and be in the Super Bowl for a 3rd year in a row! All hail the best division in the NFL!
 
Legion of Boom, yeah!

So, the Best Offense in NFL history scored only 8 points against the #31 best defense in NFL history.
The Legion of Boom is no fluke. It made the MVP (Peyton Manning) looked, well, average.

I don't want to take anything away from your victory, but I don't think you guys got the full tilt Broncos squad tonight. It was definitely a lop-sided victory though, just not the way I hoped. Seattle was on it on all three sides of the ball and Denver looked like it had no business in this game. None of it was fun to watch from this end, unfortunately.

Congrats though - I'm sure you guys are stoked and it was a well-deserved win.

Oh and I coined the phrase "the 13th man" to call out Seattle bandwagoners on facebook. :lol:
 
Whoever teaches the Seahawks to tackle should get a giant raise. It's a lost art and that team has it down.

When the first Seattle tackler got to the ball carrier, the play ended right there. They didn't miss tackles which is something Denver thrived on all year.
 
Very disappointing game….I was wondering if the Broncos where even there. I couldn't imagine how nerve racking it must be but for the whole 60 minutes? There was no offense, defense or special teams. They had such an amazing year with very few picks, fumbles, etc….but it all caught up to them yesterday.

Congrats to the Seahawks, they played a good game.

Full-tilt or not, you have to admit that our D is for real and that Russell's performance was way more impressive than his 18-25 for 206 yards would show.

And yeah, I have to roll my eyes a bit to it. Especially my friend whom I had a pretty long conversation about how inane and barbaric football is who has been posting all sorts of Seahawks stuff lately.

The D is strong but there were few (alright very few) moments of brilliance where I feel like the "real" Broncos offense would have succeeded. They just didn't seem to have it together to pull it off consistently at any point in that game. I'll tip my hat to the D but you have to agree there was a severe amount of ineptitude on every side of the Broncos last night. And that's something we just don't see often.

Yeah, we had a few friends and family members bragging about the score yet they haven't mentioned the Seahawks or the NFL for that matter all season, or ever. I think the true fans should celebrate, and celebrate hard.

Also, didn't anyone get the impression that the stadium was filled with more Seahawks fans than Broncos fans? I mean, it basically felt like the game was in Seattle.

According to ESPN (no idea how they counted outside of what gear someone was wearing or how accurate) there were 15 Seahawks fans to every 1 Broncos fan.

I have nothing but respect for the Broncos. Handshake, and good game. Ive been a fan since the 70's. This a magical time as a fan and the city is thrilled after waiting so long for this. I just wish my father in law who passed in 2008 could have seen this team in person. I will be attending the parade in downtown Seattle on Wednesday. Go Hawks!

That beating was so bad I had to turn it off before I called the cops.


Congrats to the Seahawks though. They definitely proved their worthiness. On a related note, the NFC Championship was probably a closer depiction of what the superbowl should have been. The AFC just isn't as strong as the NFC right now. Especially the Hawks, Panthers and 49ers. 3 teams that are a step above the rest, IMO. Definitely going to be fun watching the NFC especially the west division with the Hawks-Niners rivalry, the Cardinals getting good again, and the Rams showing promise will continue to tear it up for 3 or 5 years.

I'm actually old enough to remember when the Hawks were born in 1976 because I lived in Seattle at the time and spent much of my youth there. Though i've lived now in Texas for years i've always retained my hope & faith in the hawks. Coming to work today in my proud navy & neon green jacket was sort of surreal... honestly a Seahawk fan doesn't really know how this feels since we've never won it! Anyway I loved the game. I'm sure it was tough on Denver fans but at least they've won the big one before.

Another thing with the Hawks, for years we felt like the rodney dangerfield of the NFL (no respect) even as we were marching up to the NFC championship, many of the experts and announcers didn't talk about it much. then on the buildup to the SB, mostly what I heard was all about the omnipotent Peyton... Anyway I loved hearing about how Russell Wilson learned an important phrase from his father he could pass to his teammates: "Why not us?" :)

Went to the celebration yesterday at Century Link field. Gotta say hands down one of the coolest experiences of my life. Bandwagon fans or not, the amount of people and the overall energy was amazing. I HATE HATE HATE dealing with large crowds, but yesterday I had no issues doing so.
