Super Confused on Sub/Amp install - Line out converter not working?

Hey guys,

I am having difficulty installing my underseat subwoofer which has a built in amplifier.

I got the sub to turn on with the remote line, but can't get any sound out of it.

I have a line out converter spliced into the wiring harness with RCA cables going into the amplifier from the line out converter.

The funny thing is, if I hook up my phone to the RCA cables that plug into my amp, I get sound out of my rear speakers and my subwoofer. So basically, my phone gives enough of a signal to power the subwoofer.

Any idea of whats wrong? I have attached the diagram of my wiring.

Could it be a defective line output converter?

Triple check ground wire to make sure it's got a good connection. Does the HU not have any RCAs out of the back? Most times a LOC is used for stock radios.

Yeah, I'm using the stock radio to keep the factory look.

Also, my sub ground connection is good and I touch the LOC's ground to the chassis and it doesn't change anything.

when i had a stock radio i hooked my LOC to the speaker positive and negative instead of grounding them. i dunno if that matters.

So you hooked it up after the amplifier pretty much?

yea, i tapped L+R into the same rear driver speaker.

FIXED! Thanks sogoood, ended up just using the speaker wires after the amplifer .
