Super White Owners, is your paint peeling? Take the poll!

Where it chips, does it expose bare metal? Or is it just the primer that's exposed?

I'd think 2020 is too young still for the peeling. Toyota claims the peeling problem with Super White and Blizzard Pearl is caused by UV penetration to the primer/metal layer. If true, then it seems to me that would take years to manifest.

It is down to bare metal where some of the chips have happened. I would agree the peeling is probably a longer-term issue, but weak paint in a general way is my larger concern.

I have a 2017 super white and have no peeling but I do have a strange spot on my hood that appears to be a shadow.

Miss my 2019 Super White ORP, but the paint longevity is one of the excuses I used in my head to justify trading for a 2021 Nightshade in MGM color.

When I traded it in last month there were no signs of paint chipping. One tiny spot was showing primer where one of my fishing rods was leaning vertically and toppled to the ground horizontally.

The bare metal is what worries me the most because that will happen whether or not the peeling eventually manifests.

I'm going MGM after originally thinking I was going white.
