Supercharger Info

Hi everyone as you might be able to tell im looking for some info on a supercharger for the 3.4. I have a 98 limited with 144000 miles and after my recent road trips Im strongly considering adding a supercharger but I have my reservations and i hope you guys can help. Things i want to know are
1: how will it affect my engine lifespan, id like to run to at least 350000
2:with the stock pulley is there anything other than bolting on the supercharger that ill have to do
3:what is a reasonable price for one and do you guys know where i might be able to find on
4:is doing the isr mod with the supercharger a good idea since it will be forced induction

first off this is the reason we have a dedicated super charger thread here... :moony:

1. if you dont beat it you should have it last that long. you will have to rebuild the s/c two or 3 times over the that span tho...

2. you should tune it eventually probably, but you can run it no problem until you have the funds. just reset the ecu after instal. When you are ready to tune it:

3. $1500 used and rebuilt and $3000 new, $1000 used and needs a rebuild since it costs 600+ for the rebuild from Stiegmier porting

4. Dosn't affect anything other than making more noise......

Yeap, they are pretty much sold out everywhere for the 3.4L now. Looks like turbo kits will get a little more thought from now on. Its the way I think I want to go.
