Supercharger

who sell the speed unlimiter, I doubt I see myself driving over 120mph in this thing, I did not even know someone made 1

what kind of tires do you have, whats the mileage you can get out of them, 20's usually only last like 15k maybe 20-25k

Edge,

If you can find a new one elsewhere, buy it and have it installed at a different dealer. Most of them have no problem doing the install. Also, unichip has a speed unlimiter in their units, just ask to have it programmed so it won't shut down at 112mph.

Got the new Toyota Performance Parts catalog yesterday and noticed that they are selling superchargers for 04 4.7L 4runners. Maybe it's a mistake? Funny that it specifically lists 04, not 03 or 05...

My 03 has been up to 120 with no signs of shutting down or speed limiters kicking in, did they change the 04 models or is the Canada version different.

Im just gonna buy the SC and take it to a dealer and have them install it, just got to find a dealer not looking to charge me 2000 to install it.

They took them off hold but now the 03 & 04 have different parts numbers cause both model years have different ECU settings, they don't offer the SC for 05 cause of the VVTi upgrade, I hope they eventually do.

If they took them off hold, its news to most everyone here. You can find one every now and then on ebay. There was a gentleman selling one on ebay recently, for about 3750, new. Not sure what the ecu is, but you can always get the unichip. As for the top speed, not sure if its speedometer error, or if Canadian versions are different, but ours shut down at 112 miles per hour, which would be about 180 kph.

Just got off the phone with TRD, and the SC is still on hold. Everyone needs to be wary of whatever is being sold. $4000 + install is a lot of cash to spend to find out you've got the wrong stuff. Any aftermarket chip combo with the wrong part #'s for the SC will void your warranty. Trust me, I want one of these things so bad it's making me nuts, but I would hate to see someone get screwed. Might also explain why folks are having trouble getting dealer installs. Just my 2 cents...
