so I finally found my sr5 flares..

the guy is asking for $100 and it comes with all the screws + hardware.. downside though.. he is on vacation for 2 weeks.. but after that.. hello new flares... I swear, these things are hard to find.

Lucky bastard! I've had my eye out for quite a while. I'm not paying over $200 for 17 year old pieces of plastic.

one time when I was at the yards..

they had an whole set for $50 but I didn't buy it.. but at least these came around.. but man.. waiting for 2 weeks.. I just want to buy it, respray it to flat black.. and put it on the rig..

at one of the yards.. the guy wanted like $300 for the whole set.. screw that..

$100 is reasonable.. but If i can get him to lower the price a little.. that would be nice.

Man, If i would have seen this earlier I could have had you both the plugs from a spare diff to you the next day. Hope everything is squared away by now. The dealership isn't all that bad. Yea they screwed up but they deal with part numbers all day. Could have been easily mixed up.

I ended up going to Roseville Toyota and picked up both the plugs..

it happens.. we are human, we make mistakes.. at least the dealer that I originally brought the plugs from took care of things.

went to run some errands around town and when I was leaving Costco.. saw an mid 90's land cruiser and the gentlemen waved at me..

other than that.. mod money is going to be tight this year.. with summer school.. I'm pretty much broke..

question though.. depends on the condition.. I might repaint it, if I do.. should I go with flat black, plastic dip? or the oem color that came with the flares?

does anyone know what the color code is for the flares? or the name of the color?

finally got the flares after years of searching..

I have it drying right now but come day light tomorrow.. these are going on my rig.. and probably an bath day..

Before you put them on go buy the flare gaskets from the dealership, trust me, so worth it. Part numbers in the second page of my thread. Makes a world of difference. See the before/after pics in my first post.

I gave Hanless Toyota an call and they can get it in the next morning.. is about $21 an piece and I would need 5 of it..

where did you purchased yours from?

on to the pics.. spend an good couple of hours on it today... I had to cut some of it to fit with the sliders..

I went with spot and amber filters..

Tried it out this morning on the way to the airport and they throw pretty good.. Even my high beam couldn't reach that far..

sorry bud.. been an crazy week...

had work this Monday and friend's car broke down right in front of work.. I had to tow his car to the parking lot and then drive his ass home after words..

then on tuesday, drove 40 miles to help my friend drop his ex's crap at her house.. then came back into town and helped 2 people moved out of their apartments.. I had to tow twice within an week.. I think is the 3 time I had towed my rig.. and let's just say it sucks when your rig is load to the brim with their belongings along with an loaded 5x10 trailer..

I put them below where my Piaa's where.. the bumper has 4 pre-drilled holes for an winch.. I though about cutting the fog places to make room for it.. but didnt.

this past weekend though, got to tried the rigid's and lets just say.. is amazing.. while returning from the movies with the lady, i flipped the rigid's on and an couple walking in the street was like.. ' wow ' , they saw my rig and stared for an good 5-10 seconds trying to figure out what it was lol..

prior to the movies, i went and picked up my lady's bff and when I got to her apartment. she was trying to figure who this guy was with all these lights lol.. overall.. these lights rock
