Supra725 Build Thread

I went back to the 265/70/16 and there is literally nothing that stands out.. most of the tires are highway tires and not all terrain.. what ever happened to D rated tires? I tried finding an set of 4 of the bfg A/T in 265/70/16 and it just doesn't exist.

The Duratrac's I'm getting is 265/75/16 in C rated..

nice! I'm really really considering getting these tires for my next set. those look huge though are they the stock 265's?

You should buddy.. I got 70k out of my bfg and they were rated for 40k.. I wouldn't mind another set of bfg but they don't make the 265/70/16's anymore...

they aren't stock.. I went from 265/70/16 to 265/75/16.. but it change the stance of it.. after putting the tires on, i felt higher than before.. plus the ladies were checking out my rig :naughty: I'm almost close to 37in measured from the ground to the fender.. and that's with 13 years old and new bilstien lol
 
nice dude. When i first got my grabbers, they rubbed and they are stock size (i think) It doesn't help the previous owner hit something so the front bumper is pushed in a little. I guarantee these would rub like no other.

rap i guess I gotta get a lift pretty soon and a new bumper!!
 
really? how bad was the rub? where was it rubbing on?

even with 265/75/16 I'm not even rubbing..

do I see an shrockworks? or an cbi? :naughty:
 
I had to trim the little fender flare piece. It still comes really close to the tire which gives me an excuse to "need" a lift and if that doesn't do it than maybe I'll "need" SW bumper. I might even go with the OL bumper, I sure love how Ripcords looks. All this happiness just from getting new new tires giggity! but first i gotta go rob a bank lol

do I see an Toytec Ultimate lift? :naughty: what's your rig sitting at? I'm at 36.5 in the back..

I would love an Shrockworks front and an cbi back for the next mod.. or maybe an supercharger...

Ripcords bumper looks bamf.. but man.. after the tires and sliders.. I'm almost broke...

make sure they have gold bars too.. but those might get heavy lol..
 
so upon painting the cowl piece.. I couldn't get the tabs back together, so I went to the dealership and brought some new ones.. and now is all pretty up.. will have pics tomorrow..

tonight though, busted out the camera for some fun..

I need to play with the light settings some more.. hopefully with the weather cooling down.. I might be able to play at night a little more without the mosquitos coming out..

so tonight I decided to paint the rear spoiler but damn Rustoleum paint had particles in it.. It went from everything smooth and me cursing like an sailor.. I had to remove all the new paint + primer... :rant: tomorrow morning.. an nice phone call will be follow with this.. is unacceptable.. plus I'm going to sand the rest of the spoiler down, prime, repaint and clear coat.. grrr..

I'm going to look into dupicolor or krylon next... since this is the 2nd time it happened with Rustoleum
 
So today..

I went to an local upholstery shop and had my lumbar support on my driver seat re-done..

plus changed the oil too..

pics will be up in the morning..

an question.. whats the recommend oil change interval for the atf, transfer case, front diff and rear diff?

what exactly did you have done? and what kind of $'s? I was thinking of tearing into the back of the drivers seat to see about getting it back into shape since it seems to have lost some support over the years.
 
so after the tires and sliders.. I'm pretty much emptied till next year.. in the mean time though. the rig will probably be cleaned and waxed before the winter comes...

hopefully I can save enough for the timing belts, pulleys , suspension works..
 
I know... with next to no works.. the next mods will be maintenance.. I would love to get new bumpers for the front and back... but have to keep her running good before any major exterior upgrades..

I'm crying from the inside myself...
 
so this week.. I went to the local big 5 (sorta like sport charlet) but smaller.. and these 2 blokes were like 4runners in an gay voice.. I don't know if its were making fun of my rig or what.. on top of that.. they both were rolling in an mini-van..

second thing.. I was at Costco and the employee was asking what tires I was running..
I told him duratracs and he complimented me how nice my car was hehe..

thirdly.. I have to go back and finish washing my car.. will post pics after car wash if the sun isn't completely down..
