Lee, did you notice more body roll on turns w/ the tire up top?

I know you kill your mpg but it looks pretty damn good w/ a big tire up there.

yeah i do notice a bit more roll. whats most surprising is, it is really quiet!.. it sits firm and tight in there, very solid.

i filled up the tank this afternoon, so ill test my mpg loss during this tank.

sadly, im a poseur right now... they arent hooked up yet.

its been rainy, ive been busy, and im focusing on getting my higher lift!

Lee, not sure if you have already gotten your switches for use when you wire those lights up, but PP has some factory switches on clearance right now to mount in the cut outs to the left of the steering wheel. Granted, even on clearance they are still pricey, but they look good. Just thought you might want to see them.

luckily the guy who sold me the rack and the accessories and the lights also included a couple switches.

but im thinking of getting these:

Those are way cooler! Definitely go that route. I'll have to keep those in mind when I start my light/rack setup.

I bought my Surco roof rack about 8 years ago and had it on my 91. Then I sold it and got a 96. I had to add about 5 extra off road lights and then wired it with some marker lights. I have enjoyed the rack especially for camping and putting whatever on the roof. I think they are a great rack for the money.

hey lee, what size or dimension is your rack....i heard that 50 x 50 is best for the 3rd gen, but i found one that is 40 x 50 for a good deal used, do you think it would fit?
