Insurance just confirmed it will be a total loss.
I'm so sorry. I hope you find another and stay in the T4R family.

My thoughts are that's cool as sh*t. Looks mighty clean.
This HDJ81 is super clean and very low kms, but it would be the oldest vehicle I have EVER owned...it's a '91! Does that change anyone's opinion, or is it just another number, and not the most important one?
This HDJ81 is super clean and very low kms, but it would be the oldest vehicle I have EVER owned...it's a '91! Does that change anyone's opinion, or is it just another number, and not the most important one? It is very nicely equipped though:
-3X e-locked
-OEM front winch
-4.2L turbo diesel
-icebox/fridge center console
-heated seats
-e-adjustable struts (norm/hard)
-cruise control
-headlight washers
-auto climate control
-power folding mirrors
-6.1 channel stereo (not sure how that works when you change the deck)
-compass/altimeter
-sunroof
I think I've concinced myself, lol. Waiting on some more info on this truck, and STILL waiting on my total loss adjuster to make 1st contact with me (don't ever let anyone tell you public insurance is a good idea), but I'm hoping to firm this up next week. Then the waiting game all over again.
Public car insurance? Pls explain?
Thanks again guys, this really is a great forum!
What are people's thoughts on this? I may have found my replacement vehicle...
I think it's still an important number even though it's a Toyota. There are parts that age with time (ie plastics and rubber), so make sure to check those and just be aware that they will have more age on them.
I looked into getting one of those before I got my 4Runner, but it was way too much of a hassle to try to get one into the states and I wasn't super stoked for a RHD. Other than that, they're SICK!
