suspension clunking noise

Hello,

06 SR5 13000 miles. My question, when pulling out of my garage and making an extreme right turn of the wheel (as if the wheel cannot turn any further) I notice a clunking noise right front suspension but no problem when the wheel straightens out. Also, not a problem when I drive it. Is this normal or is a lube job needed? Thanks!

Most likely it's caused by a hard stop built in for end of steering travel.

There have been discussions on this that you can search for. A dab of grease in the right spots can lessen this but this not a abnormal condition and is not causing damage.

all responses greatly appreciated! Broke down and took the truck into the dealer. Had a wheel alignment done 1 month ago and apparently a camber bolt came loose. they tightened it and this appears to have fixed the problem! I'll keep my fingers crossed!
