I have searched for hours on end and I can't find what I'm looking for. I have a 2015 sr5 running 275/70/17 BFG KO2s and I would like a suspension setup that will raise the front about 2". I DO NOT WANT BILSTEIN 5100's. For my personal peace of mind I don't like the idea of the little C clips they use holding up my car. Anyway I have looked into the Old Man Emu front struts but can't find a spring to go with them to give me around a 2" lift. The car is a daily driver 95% of the time but I would still like to raise the front some. I also don't want to do a front spacer lift but understand I might have to run a rear spacer to bring the back up a little. I would greatly appreciate any advice people have as to the route I could go to achieve what I'm looking for. Pictures would be great if anyone has something similar to what I'm looking for. :frog:

For what its worth, I wheeled multiple times at Uwharrie(NC), Rausch Creek(PA), Windrock(TN), Hidden Falls(TX), & Shiloh Ridge(TX) and put 70K on a set of Billies on my Tacoma... Your fears are a bit overblown.

If you do the calculations you would see that those "little c clips" have over a 10:1 DYNAMIC safety factor. Just sayin' because I have done the calculations lol.
you should post the calculations in layman's terms.

I agree.
I have close to 90k on my 5100's and they have seen some very rough roads. Moab, a bunch of passes around Ouray, CO, and all around Mt. Taylor and the Zuni mountains. They've taken more than a few rough hits that made me get out and make sure everything is still alright. Honestly, I'm more worried that my UCAs or balljoints will give out.
Plus there's guys like this ^^^ who calculates every detail that gives us piece of mind (or outright fear).
I thought the 884 gave 3" of lift. Is it worth upgrading to ome front struts or would you just stick with the factory struts?

It clearly says it gives 2" of lift, IF you want a full 3" to add a top plate spacer.
I'm going with Billies as soon as it's out of warranty. (and I can talk the wife into it) lol

I got 3" out of mine with no top spacers.
OP - maybe 883's or step up to coil overs.

I always thought the 884s were a 3" lift as well. if you go to the toytec website the complete OME kit says they provide a 3" but if you look at the springs by themselves it says 2". Is this because of difference in where the spring sits on the OME shock vs. stock shock?
I just ordered mine from Total Automotive and the site says 2.5"-3" lift. part number 2884. http://shop.totalautomotiveperformance.net/ome-old-man-emu/ome-coil-springs/2884/i-2018137.aspx
I am assuming that is the same as the 884 but I could be wrong.

Interesting remarks OP.
I've been reading this forum since 2010 and I cannot remember an instance of anyone reporting the failure of a Bilstein shock perch. It's such an easy, reliable, and cheap-ish way to improve ride/handling and gain some lift.

OME has changed something small (Coating, color, etc) and now added a 2 in front of all of the parts numbers. 884 is now 2884. Spring size and rate has not changed.
The 2884 will provide the following, give or take .5"
05+ TACOMA:
Provides approximately 1″ lift on a stock Tacoma 4×4 with no Bull-Bar or Winch.
2003+ 4RUNNER:
Provides approximately 1-1.5″ lift on a 2003-2009 4Runner with no Bull-Bar or Winch.
Provides approximately 2.5-3″ lift on a 2010+ 4Runner with no Bull-Bar or Winch.
2007+ FJ CRUISER:
Provides approximately 2.25″ lift on a 2007-2009 FJ Cruiser with no Bull-Bar or Winch.
Provides approximately 2.75-3″ lift on a 2010+ FJ Cruiser with no Bull-Bar or Winch.
