Suspension question

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading my stock XREAS and getting a lift while I'm at it. I was thinking about the OME 885/895 with the Bilstein 5100. I'll probably be adding the CBI rear bumper some time early next year too so I wanted to have a little stiffer coils to compensate for the weight.

My question here is would another coil go better with the Bilstein or would another shock be better for the OMEs? I just want to make sure that the ride quality and performance would not compromise each other too much. Obviously they will be but I'm a fan of good balance.

Thanks!

If you are going to go with a steel bumper, I would opt for coilovers so that you can control the height of front lift. Otherwise, I'd recommend running a 700# coil to support that weight. An Eibach/Bilstein combo should work nice. I don't recall the spring rate with the 885s, but I'd be leery of running less than a #650 coil with ARB bumper. Good luck!
