Swap Rims From Taco to 4Runner

well after much thought and money crunching ...

I've decided to either go on the 20x7 LE rims :

275-55-20 dura tracs in c load for $1213 out the door

or

255-55-20 dueler H/L alenza plus standard load for $959 out the door


just need to convince myself the dura tracs are worth the price until the 6th gen comes out or stick with the cheap all seasons. I know about the 7" rims and the issue with mounting a 7.5" tire on a 7" rim.

I threw out the Tacoma rim swap due to the added cost of the spacers and the 275-60-17 tires would put me over the cost of getting 255-55-20 tires on the 20x7 LE rims.

Since you are looking at duratracs you must have some offroad aspirations... Seems like 17s would be so much better for that.

The wheel spacers would only be ~100$

If you're not going to wheel it, I would go with the Alenza. Had two sets on out last Lexus RX350. Nice and quiet and wore great. Great tire, in my opinion.

hmmm from what I have looked at decent spacers, most are running ~$50 for each spacer.

as for thinking of the dura tracs, I was thinking of getting those for the snowflake rating since I have to deal with moderate to heavy snowfall during the winter and since winters are between 6-8 months of the year.

Those are the exact same wheels that came stock on my 2003 4runner.

Did you have to run spacers to make them fit(clear brake and strut) or could you get away without running the 1" of spacer?

I guess I am not sure what you are asking here. The wheels were on my old 4th gen not my 5th gen. No spacers were used on the 4th gen.

I think he meant to ask ST1FLER that question, since he posted a pic of his T4R with the 5 spoke alloys from the 4th gen 4Runner or Tacoma.
