i hate to be the guy to say it, but, if you have to ask, this is probably something you shouldnt be trying to do.

and, i would like to help you, but its been so long since ive done anything like this that i cant remember which models will work, and which wont.

but i do know you'll need the entire hydraulic clutch system MC, lines, and slave, aswell as the pedals, and hanger bracket just for starters.

this is no easy task.
i wish you good luck.

Time for a whole lot of searching, reading, list building, list updating, throwing away of list in frustration, trash digging looking for that last list, head scratching and finally, hopefully, the desired outcome.

To start, here is the list of what transmission/engine combinations came in the different year 4Runners. Toyota Pickup and 4Runner Drivetrain Specifications

2nd gen 4runner transmission swap - YotaTech Forums

I would thing your best bet is to buy a manual 4Runner, take out what you need, part out the rest and scrap what is left. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!!!

You're Looking for a R150F out of a 88-95.5 4runner or Pickup. (pre Tacoma)

You'll also have to change the transfer case.

You'll have to get a clutch pedal, master cylinder, lines and slave cylinder...

You can use your same drive shafts and cross member.

I dont know if you need a different ECU or what youll have to do to get the shifters up through the floor.

Good luck!

Well its not much different than the swap I did in my 85 4runner. Like he said previously you need an r150 and matching transfer case. Try to get the crossmember with it because I believe they're different. You need a pedal assembly with clutch and brake pedal. A slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder along with the line that connects them. You need to cut holes in the floor for your shifters. You also need a flywheel and clutch obviously. The ecu should work fine once you jump the park neutral switch, just make sure you pull the bulbs in the dash for the ect power and any other auto transmission components. The swap is pretty straight forward just labor intensive.
