Sway-A-Way Reviews and Feedback??

Thanks for the correction, saw does have a rear setup.

Regardless unless you plan to do a lot of high speed stuff I'd recommend you just go with OME's as it's the best overall setup that's priced reasonable for the vast majority. Those with OME's will not complain about the ride at all.

Whatever you do, I'd say spacers are your very last option. I mean if you're gonna spend some money might as well spend it a bit more on something worth while.

Good luck
I was thinking of getting the OME setup soon but from reading this post. when you are saying high speed stuff, what do you mean by that? I do alot of highway and street driving and not to much off road. My reason for the lift is cause I am running 20's and rubs when I turn. also I don't like the fact that the runner sits too low.

Since you have a SE and don't plan to hit the trails I say save your $$ and just do a spacer lift. You'll be able to keep the xreas and also keep your 20's so it's the best of both worlds for you.

don't care for spacers, how much will the OME effect normal driving? I do go camping and love to snowboard so will hit the mountains as well. Just didn't know what you meant by high speed.

I only brought up spacers as an alternative because you have xreas and don't plan to offroad. Note that if you go anything else you'll have to remove your xreas. At any rate OME would be a good alternative. I still think Coilovers are an overkill for the majority. Ride feel? OME's would be pretty much the same except with the added height you get from the lift.

The high speed stuff I was referring to was high speed offroading through the desert or fireroads. OME's can handle a good portion of it but if you plan to go high speed for hours the OME's will fade and fail (oil will overheat and you'll know because the shocks get very hot). This is a limitation on the shock as the oil is in the shock compartment. Even if you get coilovers it too will fail as the same limitation exist. The only difference is that they tune theirs for these scenarios so they'll last a bit longer. The ultimate solution would be to have an external resevoir but those are a pretty penny and even then those will expire too.

Bottom line, OME's are a good solution for 99% of those that want to lift. Most won't know the difference between stock and OME as it's pretty close to each other. I haven't seen anyone that was upset by their upgrades.

good luck

There is more info on CO's

here

Saw's have a spring rate of 650lb, 14 cm of travel and are the most affordable of the CO options. In slow speed off roading you may not be able to flex as much or get that amount of travel with a firmly sprung CO setup.

wonder why Donahoe Racing is out of business? SAW seems to have a rust issue and the other 2 are priced pretty high at least for me.
I think for most people the OME is a good choose.
my Runner is 50% highway 50% street and 10% to 20% off road and on ice.
once I get the lift done I am planning on getting the Nittos on my 20's
