Swaybar hitting elocker!

The brackets are $30 from Sonoran Steel, they don't sell them on the website so you have to put a call into the shop to get em. Just ordered mine.

+ shipping ? we do what we gotta do thats cool.

I could'nt do that, $30+ for two pieces of 11/4" x 5" flat bar with 4 holes drilled in each piece, no holes are threaded unless he changed design, 4 bolts with nuts n washers.

Two holes are threaded and a third hole is countersunk on each bracket. Only one of the holes is drilled and left as is.

$30 is totally worth it, I wouldn't pay the $75 or whatever it is for those Hi-Lift mounts though. LOL I use 2 monster tie-wraps to attach my hi-lift to the d-rings in the cargo area. LOL
PS: They're free from work. :-)

Ok, he changed design since 09 when I bought mine, the changes he's made
Is what I thought then should have been the design. That is a good deal.

After all the work I did for mine, in retrospect I should have elongated the original holes to get the 1/4" clearance I needed. Interesting note was I tried both the original sway bar from my 97 and the one off the complete elocked axle assembly and neither one cleared. Since the sway bar is bolted to the solid axle the clearance should never change no matter the articulation. It is possible that a new bushing might help with clearance

I made my own extended links for the front and rear and then swapped in an elocker at a later date. I have had no issues with the swaybar hitting the elocker even though I keep the bar connected off and on road. I even made a custom bash plate to protect the elocker and don't have rubbing on that. So that would be my guess. Either buy or make some longer links and you should be good.

Time, money on drill bits, and tap bit might be more expensive then just ordering it from him.

per the website I thought he was back yesterday

I talked to Steve on FB today. They're updating their website & should have it finished over the weekend with all of the products back up there.

That's funny you say that. I have extended links in the front and the rear. No real explanation to why mine my sway bar hits. It wouldn't matter what i did though, the sway bar is attached to the axle so I would have rubbing regardless of the length of my lengths. The only solution would be to move up the sway bar as I am doing.

You do have an explanation. I told you why it is happening.

That is really strange. My guard that I made for it rubbed a bit but I just had to take a notch out of it and there was plenty of clearance, but never had an issue with anything else rubbing as far as the locker is concerned. One of those weird vehicle things that should work the same for everyone but somehow doesn't.

Steve, do you mind posting the explanation in the forum so everyone else can see? I'm sure I'm not the only one with the issue.

And mine isn't rubbing hardcore or anything, but I haven't thoroughly tested it wheeling, just on the freeway. Rather be safe than sorry.
