Sylvania Silverstar Ultra

Quick post here. I purchased some sylvania xtravision H11 bulbs for my 2016 last night and was sadly disappointed. Granted, I only have 2k miles on my truck so my bulbs are fresh, the xtravision actually appeared dimmer.

Wal-Mart returned them and I picked up the silverstar ultra's. I wanted to avoid these cause I've heard their lifespan is short, but really wanted brighter low beams. Either way, here is the comparo, ultra's on the left, stock on the right. Definitely brighter. Just thought I'd share in case anyone is on the fence with aftermarket bulbs. Photo makes them look more blue than they really are.

Prepare to replace them on a regular basis. In the long run HID will be much brighter, give the proper cutoff and last way longer.

Agreed. However please dont put an HID kit in stock projectors. A proper retrofit is the way to go.

Yup. I know all about the different light options. I posted this simply to provide experience/insight into these specific halogen replacements.
