System of measurement

Was wondering what system of measurement is used for my 1997 Toyota 4Runner in its odometer. Is it in miles or km?

Pardon for such a question?im trying to compute my mileage.

look at the speedometer, if the outside numbers are in Mph and the inside smaller numbers are in KPH than your odometer should read Miles

Vice versa, if the outside are in KPH than..... then your odometer reads KM.

Thanks for that.now i know im on miles. Its 6.2km/liter, is it an average consumption for 3rd gens?

14.6 MPG, that's probably about right if this is all city driving with no highway at all. I had 15.8 when I filled up today and that tank was mostly city, with a little bit of warming up in the cold, and a little highway cruising as well.
