Roger on the buoy tender. I started my 26 years after boot camp on the PAPAW (when she was in Charleston SC), and after about 10 months of fun in the southern sun I decided Radioman was the way to go for me!

Retired in 2003 as RMC/OSC/TCC (pick one...LOL) here at OSC Martinsburg. Had a great job with Verizon until a drunk driver took me out of the game.

Wow, a 180' you're showing your age! Men were men back then though! Or at least that's what the old Quartermasters on my boat tell me.

You know you are old when the movies you've seen in the theatre have been remade and you go to see them again with your children.

I'm not yet to the point where I can hide my own Easter eggs... But I'm no Spring Chick either. I'm also a Coasty. Seems we have quite a few in here eh?

Must be our highly tuned intelligence - hence we pick a vehicle that runs like a raped ape - gets us there and back.

It's great getting back to camp with a bunch of Jeeps, and Land/Range Rovers, and not have to spend the night, and next morning fixing her.

Come on that's part of the fun! I remember many o nights wrenching on my Suzuki, drinking beer turning wrenches. Good times

Okay... you made me chuckle with that bit about fixing them the next day. I had a 77 CJ-7 back in the 90's. And what you said was exactly how it was.

And you're right about great minds thinking alike... to think that I almost bought an Explorer! :nono:
