Been waiting for you to get some time in on these.
Have you had a chance to see what the height has settled in at? Did you get to play with the compression and rebound? Can you comment on the on-road and off-road as compared to stock?

well... I'm pretty sure my passenger side Upper ball joint is smoked... there is grease leaking out of it, and a "knocking" can be heard when going over very small bumps at slow speed... on the fence about Camburg UCAs balljoint or uniball.... damn it... any recommendations?

That sucks! How many miles do you have on your 4Runner?
I have been researching the Camburg UCA's with the balljoint since it seems to be built well and has a greasable Moog ball joint that sits at a better angle for movement.
Do you think this is related to the height of the BP51's? I believe you said you installed them at the recommended height for a front end with a bumper and winch.

Since you have a nice high end suspension setup I would go with a UniBall UCA. My recommendation is Total Chaos.

I know everyone swears by Total Chaos, but their aesthetics don't jive with my setup...
eep: If Total Chaos can powder coat a black set for me I'd consider it. I spoke with Camburg today and they can powder coat the uniball UCAs the same color as their balljoint UCAs... (I'm OCD about how it looks, even when it's dirty)... only drawback is it would take 3 weeks... or they can send out a balljoint setup tomorrow... and they're throwing in a little military discount... my only other concern is that I may PCS to Colorado next year and the balljoint may be better suited for inclement weather/salted roads, etc.?? Anyone from that area/geo chime in?

What's up man? I've been using plasti-dip for years... no worries, that light at Southwestern always has an idiot turning left and blocking thru traffic... I've seen your rig in the neighborhood a few times. stop by next time mine is parked in the driveway.

And they are in! Pretty easy install. I love the gloss black podwercoat... I'm going to attempt to hunt down some black bushings in the future. Tried to give TC some love, but I don't think these stickers will hold up long... and I found my passenger side cv shaft has a little play/clunk in it... the saga

I am sure your alignment will come in much better now. Please provide your objective impression on stability on the highway; I would have them shoot for 4 degrees of caster.
I would also like to mention that one of the "sales points" of the BP's is "retain stock UCA's". I call BS on this. But, I do think that the BP's are one sweet set-up! Looking forward to the full report on this nice rig!

Steering on the highway is a night and day improvement, very tight steering now. I'll try to get it realigned next weekend.
Now to decide on a prinsu, gobi, or frontrunner slimline rack...
