When I came back on mid tour the family picked me up in it at the airport. She said this is your new truck and you can do whatever you want to it when you get back. So I did. I have been build it slowly ever since.

I like the sandy stuff and it's close by, but I'm too afraid to hit the real rocks without any front skid and the tinfoil excuses for "skids" that come from the factory. What was different about the pines today was the ice. There was 6" of ice and then a foot of water. Here's where [MENTION=93606]surfishjoe[/MENTION] got stuck; it was nasty stuff. it's like little floating rocks. The sand and mud were so mushy he was just sliding back and forth, even with the rear locked. Wound up winching out.

That looks awesome! Our sand trails are really narrow which kind of sucks, but the big open pits like I was at the other day are always fun. How are you liking those bump stops? Awesome?

I like them, they dampen the hard blows nicely. I had to drop them a little, because they stuff the 34's pretty bad. This suspension takes hard hits and you barely notice it in the cab.
I used to hate that pucker up before I would hit a drop off on the trail, but with it built to perform now it rides like a cloud.

They should be in good shape also, meet up with him last year and he wanted to check them out due to I had them already.
I think he pulled them off his gen4 and sold the ride to his dad and bought a gen5. awhile back.
EDIT- doesn't look like he even mounted them.

I saw that this morning... v6
plus I have the exhaust pipe under there (03-04 v8's seem to be the hardest to make skids for)

Didn't know had a v-8, you don't have it stated in your build.
That's strange about the exhaust, the 6 has to have a curved plate built in there on the transfer plate.
