Went to install my Lotus lower link skid and realized there was one flaw... if enough impact was put on that section of the skid, it would still crumple the oem attachment... so I went ahead and started making pieces to fully box that area of the vehicle (it happens to be one of the most contact points going over rocks/tree roots)

It was a lot more work than expected being I had to remove my gas tank (new OEM fuel pump/filter at the same time) to finish up welding and painting on the driver side

If you’re gonna bullet proof one thing, why not finish up with the following piece.... I went ahead and boxed/strengthened the lower links

Switch pros 9100 install

When I installed this I spent a little extra time tucking in the actual module to keep it away from heat/weathering. Also made a custom switch pros mount that mounts in between the cup holder and the 4wd shifter. It is completely clear of everything and within perfect reach even when my elbow is resting on the armrest.

Made a quick release lexan plate to mount my BlueSea busbar/negative terminal

Paint matched my bumpers to my lower trim

Installing my winch, had to do a little trimming of the top plate on the bumper to clear the motor

5.29 Nitro regear/Arb front air locker

First time vehicle is going to a shop to have work done. I’m completely confident I’m uncomfortable with setting up gears. Setting backlash and all that noise. No thanks... had good experience with Mule Expedition Outfitters here in Issaquah, WA.

Finally, a moment I’ve been waiting for the past 2 months. Broke in the gears and finally installed the bumpers, and painted skids. Only time it’ll look this clean/unscarred.. might as well enjoy it

Thank you! I try to document as best I can with different perspectives. I try to not forget that building is most of the fun besides driving the rigs!

Wow this is incredible, super clean rig and I love the way your drawer system turned out in the rear, definately gave me a couple ideas for changing mine up a bit. Sorry if I missed it in your thread but what trail is that up in Washington? I'm in Oregon and have been looking for some fun/scenic trails nearby. Also super clean photos what camera do you use? Love your build and keep up the good work!

That trail is Gallagher head lake. Thanks for checking out my thread! I use a mix of my d600/d850. Maybe we’ll swap some trail info down the line

Bigger...

Just when everything is going fine.... I decide on switching to 35’s.... mainly for axle clearance. I was sliding off my rear differential a good amount of times on the past couple of trails

P.S. also got some new wheels. Black Rhino Chase rotary forged wheels
