do the 4runner fender flares fit the taco fenders?

From what I've read they fit the shape but the mounting clips don't line up 100%. I plan on making mine work though, I much prefer the Limited flares to he Tacoma flares.

I have a DDM 98 Limited that I'm doing this conversion on, I've got Tacoma rad support, fenders, hood, hood hinges, lights, grill, etc in the back right now, just waiting on a body shop appointment to knock it all out.

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is the wiring/lights. The Tacoma headlights and turn signals have different connections than my 98's do. I work at a Toyota dealership so I've just ordered new connectors so I can de-pin my current ones and prepare the front end for the Tacoma stuff but the fact that no one has mentioned it makes me wonder if I'm missing something...

i have a 96 and really want to do this. all depends on if i can find the parts for the right price. i believe ill be the only one in alaska :flipoff:

you are in luck, everything you damaged is what you need from a taco lol. From the reading I have done I understand that you need a taco front core support (what you cut off already that held the radiator) and then is mostly bolt on. Depending on the years you mite have to make a bracket to hold the headlights. Wanting to do this myself if the 02' gets front end damage, or if I had the money and could have the truck down for a extended time.

I would recommend replacing core support

Everything aligned up well, but now my head lights need adjusted. It would be a simple turn of a screw with the taco core support, not so much now!!!

Wow...that turned out really nice! Maybe I'll get lucky and somebody will hit me or I can find a deer...laughing out loud!! Just kidding...but, seriously, looks great! Congratulation on the re-build!!

Looks great! I think it would look even better if the grille was painted to match, but that's just my view. Either way, I really dig it.

Looks good, what are you doing with the front flares? I'm really wanting to do this and hoping to find a Taco at the wrecking yard.

Quick question folks im thinking about doing an 04 taco clip conversion but I'm wondering if a kit such as the one in my picture that would fit a 96-04 taco would in turn fit my 4runner. If all 04 taco parts fit up with some slight modifications then this would work right?

Technically, yes you would be able to make it work I'm sure, but it is going to have massive 4" flares and probably 3-4" Rise on either side, so unless you're planning on long travel, it's gonna look goofy, there is also no rear set-up that would match the width.

Would it fit? Sure. Will it look hideous? Absolutely.
