Tacoma shocks/strut compatability

I searched the lift section and dont see any info on tacoma compatability. I have a 99 4runner (tall/factory springs). Not looking for 3" lift, more like 1-2" is fine. Does the trd tacoma strut 96-04 fit our 3rd gen 4runners without modification? I already have ome 906 springs in closet just need rear shocks and front struts

I had the factory TRD coils / Bilstein HD combo from a 2000 Tacoma on my runner for a while. Went from a sagged out 19.5" to 21" hub to fender. Not sure if the lift was from the springs or a slightly longer shock. Ride was firm but not jarring.

thanks desert ofr response. was it straight bolt on?

I think I had to rotate the bottom shock eye a bit because Tacoma's have the same top plate mounting, but they're rotated 15* or so. I just re-read your OP, and since you have 99 talls already you probably won't notice any lift. I originally opted for that setup because my original shocks were bottoming out fairly easy, and I found the Tacoma setup for free (actually a case of beer) from a guy on TTORA.
