Tacoma Wheels on 5th Gen 4Runner

Hey,

Just picked up a new 2010 Black 4Runner Limited (Canadian). I'm wondering if anyone has pictures of 05-11 Tacoma wheels on their 5th Gen 4Runner? I'm looking at picking up a set of 17" wheels to run some beefier tires for winter. I have a new set of 265/70/17 BFG All-Terrains that just need some wheels.

Looks good man... love the black, but too lazy to keep it clean so I went with the color that looks best dirty!

I'd go with SR5 wheels like many limited owners on here have, or pick up a set of FJ wheels. Those 17" Taco rims look just like the 4th gen rims so I'd personally not go with those, but if you like them the most... go for it. Maybe someone can photoshop it for ya.

Congrats on your new Limited!
I havn't seen anybody on here with them but Taco wheels will work as long as they are 17 inch minimum because of our bigger brakes . As will 4th Gen 4Runner wheels and FJ wheels. The 17 inch black steel FJ wheels(steelies) are nice and usually pretty cheap .

I hear ya; I love the look of black, but love that the MGM looks good with dust / dirt on it. I had a 2010 Mag Grey Tacoma, but some idiot crashed into me and wrote it off. Bought black because it was the only available 2010 (got the dealer to shave a few K off of it, plus the interest rates were much lower).

Thanks Harper; I've just joined this site, but have been browsing solid for close to 2 months researching before I made my purchase. Your truck looks awesome.

I'd love to get a set of 5th gen sr5 wheels, but seems majority of take-off supply is in the USA; shipping to CA is a killer. I have a line on 17" Taco wheels real cheap, but may have to splurge as I think the FJ's would look better.

I have Taco 17" wheels on my 5th Gen 4R with Nitto Grappler tires.

Ride is great and the Nittos eat up the snow. Great snow tires.

Unfortunately I'm out in DC on business and don't have any photos handy.

I'll post some next week when I get home.

I personally love the black on white contrast and making me wish I had bought a BP.imp:

Maybe I'll trade for a BP when they come out with the 4.6L v8/6sp in a few years. Who knows if that will ever happen though with fuel prices back on their crazy pendulum swing. They went up 16 cents a gallon here yesterday alone with oil at $90 a barrel!

Thx for the compliment. It's much easier to maintain than one might think. Actually, I think all the 5G colors are nice.

Yeah, in a few years you'll have nothing left to mod, and you'll HAVE to start over.

Appears so. If you zoom in, you can see a Toyota logo on the hub of the wheel.

Speaking of hubcaps... does anyone know if all of the Toyota 6 bolt alloy wheel hubcaps are interchangeable? I like the look of no caps on my trail but would settle for...ah...less protruding ones.

I'm with you... have you seen the pics of the rubicon 4 runner. they had no center caps, almost prefer that look. I'd like the TRD ones from the FJ TRD 16" offroad wheels.

If you watch closely you will notice that they are there in some shots. Must've lost 'em along the way.
