I know the last post here was from 2013, but I wanted to add in something I just discovered, in case anyone has an issue like this come up.
I am installing the Kicker speaker upgrade from Trail Grid Pro. I was in the process of replacing the driver's door speaker, which meant I had the full inside portion of the door removed. While installing, I realized that TGP forgot to trim off some of the adapter (no worries, I'll trim them with a dremel once I know exactly how much to trim), so I decided to move on to the other doors. I did the rear doors, and then the back hatch.
Once the back hatch speakers were done, I closed the hatch and tried the center console window button, and nothing happened. I turned my 4R on fully and tried again, but it still didn't work. I shut the 4R off and tried the buttons on the rear door, and the window went up and down as it was supposed to. I went back into the driver's seat, started the 4R, and tried again.... but the button still wouldn't control the rear window.
I opened my Carista app and ran a system check. (I've got the Carista plug in and love it because it A) helped me to silence the seat belt chime, B) let me set the system so I could put my windows down using my fob, and C) let's me check my system whenever any errors come up.)
After running the check, I found that I had two errors within the "Body/Convenience System":
1) code B1206 - P/W Master SW ECU Communication Stop
2) code B2321 - Lost Communication with Driver Door Power Window ECU
And that's when I realized that my having the interior of the driver's door off could be fouling everything up. So I attached the electrical connection for the driver's door (still without the new speaker installed) and tried the button for the rear window, and it went up and down perfectly.
So there's my bit of info. Hopefully this helps someone else that may be caught in a similar situation as mine.
