Tailgate Window ?

I guess its normal; having to have the ignition key "on" to operate the dash mounted switch for the tailgate window. odd how if ya shut the engine down I have to turn the key back to "on" for the window to operate.

is this normal?
anyone know a mod to allow it to work without the ignition in the "on" position?

That's wrong, the windows (at least front) remain functional after the truck is turned off as long as the doors haven't been opened (or until a timer, if there is one).

Obviously you can also scroll the window with your key either remotely or with the rear lock without the ignition being on also. You could potentially tap directly into the rear lock wires with the window wires so the ignition is bypassed. Otherwise I'm sure there is just a relay somewhere the button controls go through that you can jump around, but I don't know how easy that or tapping into the lock wires are. If you can easily get to the lock wires, I would think that would be easy and straight forward.

I just checked, the front four windows work but not the rear.

Also I can only roll DOWN my rear window using the remote, it does not roll back up.
