You are close, its a Lake Sturgeon on the Rainy River in Baudette, MN, next to the border of two provinces and MN on the mouth at Lake of the Woods. Lots of Chicago land folks visit LOTW every year, mostly for ice fishing I think.
I'm wondering why I haven't seen more Chicago ppl up north lately. Fishing in MN must be in decline I guess.
Some day I'll have the scratch to fly up there and hit the big lakers, I'd love to snag a 30 lb.-er someday. Biggest one I got was in the BWCAW in MN (won't tell you which lake, though, lol) a few years ago, 15 lbs.

I have no stink even under WOT acceleration. I feel it is because I only run 93 octane gas.

It's been reported by just a few in the new LS460 as well, but that's rare, given the tighter suspension set up of a sedan in general "less suspension travel".
the stink issue, i'm not sure of, but I wouldn't be suprised one bit if it did.

I dont know what some of you dont understand. The stick is only smell-able when the rear window is down. This is due to the vacuum like effect that is created while driving behind ANY car. because our cars have the power rear window....exhaust gasses are pulled inside.
It says right inside the manual not to drive with the rear window open. You not only smell the exhaust but breathe in TOXIC carbon monoxide which could kill you!!!!!!!!!

not entirely accurate. carbon monoxide can only kill you in the absence of air as it replaces oxygen in the body. if the rear window is down and the car is moving rapidly the fumes coming out of the exhaust will not enter the vehicle necessarily. The stink I had also was with the passenger rear side window down (closest to the exhaust exit).

true enough. when I am driving with the sunroof open and the two front side windows open i crack the back window about 4 inches to decrease the intensity of the wind through the cabin. seems to work. have not smelled anything at that point (given CO is odorless) but it is carried on the exhaust fumes so I think that it is safe to do so). CO poisoning is a wicked thing so appreciate your caution.

DNR regs vary from lake to lake. The statewide walleye limit is 6, with no slot. LOTW will enact a slot because starting this decade, the record number of pounds harvested is broken each year. LOTW can support a massive number, but due to the fact that its half Canada's, and way less numbers of Canadians fish it compared to Americans, something has to be done to protect the fishery. If you go out there now, you can always get 'em, any time of year. But these huge winter harvests, mostly by people from the Twin Cities, Wisconsin, Iowa and Chicago, hurt the sustainability of the local resort economy in the long term. If people can't catch and eat at least a few fish, they won't come back. What the DNR is really trying to control is every Tom, **** and Harry filling their freezers with walleye from LOTW every year.
I don't think Toyota necessarily has a problem with their manufacturing skills, as these are still fantastic cars in general. I think where they're falling behind is in the quality testing after the product is complete. I mean, seriously, how could you miss this "thump" if you were testing the products after manufacturing them? I find it hard to believe Mr. Toyota said "it thumps, but screw 'em anyway, they'll buy it". It just doesn't fit their profile.
The stinky exhaust isn't part of every car, although granted, every car has exhaust! The only other time I've ever encountered this sulfer-egg smell was with our 1986 Acura Legend sedan. Acura replaced the cats with new ones and it never came back for the 15 years we had the car. It's got something to do with whatever they've decided to use in the cats....again, a quality control testing issue. Toyota better hire more testers! Otherwise, publications will start to note these ongoing issues and start dinging their score, which will impact sales. I know I read consumer reports and about a half dozen other publications and websites. All say Toyota is the best, but once that starts to slip, then we'll see fixes...until then, why rock the apple cart? I personally think if we complained to the editors of the car magazines, consumer reports, and websites about these ongoing problems, they'd have to acknowledge them and write about it. One voice to Toyota Corporate, is just one voice. One voice to media outlets, is one voice heard by thousands!

I wrote a letter to Truck Trend(a Motor Trend publication) and mentioned about the bumpin',thumpin',moanin' an groanin' which they actually published twice. They had published a test report on the GX470 and did mention the clunk in the original report.nc211 said:
Lexus told them a TSB had been introduced and Toyota said there were not enough customer complaints to warrant a TSB. My question asked for some suggestions to solve the problems after my warranties ran out. That part was never mentioned in the published letters nor the published answer.
Bottom Line: If the wheel doesn't squeak it is not going to get greased!!!
