Alright! Good idea beretta.
When i did my headlights i thought it looked good but didnt match until i did the fogs too. I need to figure out something other than niteshades for the turn/corner lamp

I just painted mine with the same flat black paint as everything else. Since I installed the '06 lamps I wasn't worried about what would happen if they weren't bright enough but the bulbs are still just as bright as the bulbs in my '06 housings (that still have chrome reflectors).
Bottom bulbs are in black housings, top bulbs in chrome reflectors.

We need to put either a shroud in the turn signal or put some sort of bezel in it. I know my Hella lights are the "black magic" series, so they have a black grill of sorts inside the housing so when the bulb is off, the light reflects the black in the reflector so lens looks black, and when the bulb is on, the light reflects and goes past the grill with no discoloration or decrease in intensity at all!

That looks awesome! So you just painted the reflector of the turn light flat black and it still lights up?

Yep. I actually had a set of black housings on my old Z71 for a while and they worked fine, don't know why I didn't think of it til I got the '06 housings.
I think it was satin or semi-flat but yeah, you can see it is plenty bright in the pictures. If you're using LED signals (which i wouldn't recommend anyway) it might make a difference, but those bulbs are already so dim that you wouldn't want to hurt them any more.
I was afraid I would have a bright upper signal and dull lower, but they look about the same.

Definitely doing that! How was taking apart the housings? I tried prying one afternoon but I didn't feel like actually taking them apart and painting them at that time.

It was the same process as the headlights ands foglights. Bake 10 min at 200, open, paint, bake, close, bake.

I had it closed when I did mine, whatever you did to get the headlights open should work for the lenses too though.

Last question; What silicone/epoxy did you use?

Oh sorry, guess i was confusing you with Adumb. Just know that someone said they did it.
GE Silicone II, but I've only had to use it on one light. All the others did well by baking for a minute or two to heat up the glue, then placed back together in the oven for 10 min and pressed together as hard as I could. The OEM glue resealed itself in those cases.
I did a set for A_Hul though and ended up having to go back silicone them after they leaked.

yeah I niteshaded mine and i love the look of the light when its lit but i dont like how dark it is when its not lit
Lit it is still plenty bright.
it doesnt match the subtle black of the other lights when not lit

Maybe throw like one coat of nightshades over the fogs to kinda blend them?
