I've finally had some time to hit the woods - I went up to the Ocala National Forest this past weekend and Citrus WMA the weekend before.

I found an awesome campsite, a bear and a snake. Lol

Here are some pics from the adventure - I pre-tensioned the winch on the Citrus trip and it's a good thing I did, it made it's first recovery.

My wife hates my mods, hates fishing, hates gaming, good thing she still loves me hehe !

Seriously awesome built, I see on one picture there are a couple of Tacoma's. I reconize those front bumpers, my brother in law has the same one



I will be in FL for the next 3 weeks, let me know please what fish is best in high sea as I will be going on a trip and would like to not be a clueless bastard once I get there. Also I heard night fishing is not bad too. Just having some info to help me bring back some fish so my mother in law can cook us something nice.

Last trip I caught some Spanish Mackerel's on the pier. Mom's made us some sweet dish's. Oh I will be in Pompano, a bit more southern than where you are but still any help is welcome.

Haha, I actually love gaming. I have some outdated consoles, but they work just fine for me.

As for fishing, are you still in the area? Night time fishing on docklights has been pretty great lately. Might want to try that out, with some shrimp, on a steady moving tide. The green light attracts bait, which attracts predator fish like snook, trout and redfish.

Went for a whirl in the Withlacoochee State Forest - it's crazy how the wrap seems to change color based on the amount of light visible. It makes for some cool photo opportunities.

Hey there, with the kids and all I had time to go 1 day high sea fishing, I cought about a dozen red snappers. Made filets and kept 2 whole to show the kids

I will be going on the Dania pier tonight since I have only 2 days left in FL going back to the freezing cold sadly.

Gotta ask, were you camping near Lake Delaney north of Salt Springs? Road in looks like the one I take off SR 19 to a friends place on the lake.

Well...I spent Sunday installing the winch, lightbar and C-4 Lo-Pro bumper. I’m very pleased.

Love the colors and the small details. I thought I was the only one OCD about that kind of stuff! I did the same thing with my SCS wheels too!

Ocala National Forest.

Cool. We get down to Ocala and the National Forest in the fall. Off of 40 there is a current fenced in military base and when get behind that a little ways there is what looks like what was left of another base. All that is left is some highly deteriorated streets. It's a fun place to play around at.

Hi nice looking truck. Serious question for you or anyone else for that matter.. How useful is the roof mounted tent? Is it more a pain then just packing a tent with you when camping? Any pros/cons you can share about it?

Hey, sorry it took me so long to see this - I admit I'm not the greatest at checking this thread!

As for the tent, I find it to be much more efficient than setting up a regular tent. I camp by myself a lot and it's super easy to just fold the RTT out and have my sleeping situation set up in minutes. I also like that I'm off the ground, I find that I maintain a comfortable temperature all night, I feel safer, and I know that critters aren't going to mess with me (Florida is one giant ant-hill.) I've also camped in multiple sites that are frequented by bears and it just made me that much more comfortable. The tent I went with is super light-weight, very durable and folds away nicely. The only con I would say is that it's difficult for me to get off the roof by myself.
