Does anyone know if the tappets on my 91 4runner 3vze engine are self adjusting or do they need adjusting. I am getting a ticking noise from the engine at high speed. I suspect the tappets but am not sure. I must confess its a bit overdue a service. About 100,000 miles on the clock.
