TErunner's 2014 Build

I was previously on the board with a 2004 SR5 that we sold in 2013 with the intention of getting a 5th gen soon. When we saw the 2014 trails we knew what our new ride was going to be. We have had it almost 2 months and I can tell you the ride is far superior to our 2004 (non XREAS). The KDSS is truly phenomenal and the 4wd systems all seem to work well. I can't really see myself using the CRAWL control very often, but the Multi-Terrain select and the eLocker seem more than adequate for most wheeling. Absolutely love the fact that it has a manual T-Case shifter.

Is the 5th Gen the 150 series?

Here it is on the day after we picked it up.

Hey, neighbor! Nice rig there. What brand of basket is that?

As for crawl, I've used it pretty extensively. It really works well on long descents, and I expect it would do well in certain uphill scenarios as well. Haven't used the multi-terrain much yet.

Welcome to the forum.

Had some decent weather this weekend and was able to get the front and rear fascias Plasti Dipped. Roof rack will be next but I will just be painting that.

Looks nice. Never thought about painting the bumpers like that.

Did you sand the roof racks at all before you plastidipped them or just cleaned them?

Really kind of baffles me on the white ones why they didn't do this from the factory as well.

As an experiment I Plasti Dipped the chrome exhaust tip. Took it on a 500 mile road trip this weekend and it really added a ton of HP and the fuel mileage went up. :p

its dirty now but you get the idea.
