Congrats on the wedding. Glad you two are enjoying the 4Runner together! My wife and I got married on June 9th and we are loving our TRD Pro as well!

My wife and I had one more free weekend together before she starts working, so we figured what better way to spend it than a last minute, poorly planned, but fantastically executed road trip with camping and kayaking.
We set off Wednesday morning and made the ~3hr drive from DFW to Burnet, TX (Inks Lake State Park) where the friendly parks rep pointed us in the direction of a large camp site on the lake front (lot 311).
Gotta set up camp quick so we can go play.
Out on the water! (thanks to my now sister-in-law for buying both myself and my wife kayaks as a wedding gift.
Devils waterhole
Dinner time cooked by yours truly on another gift given by a friend for our wedding.
Gotta get cleaned up before bed, check out my home made shower here

The next morning we hiked around a bit and then made our way to Longhorn Caverns State Park to check out the caves. I'm no spelunker, but I do LOVE caves.
We finished that much earlier than expected, so we decided to drive an hour up to Colorado Bend State Park to check out Gorman Falls. It was a nice 1.5 mile hike there and then back, with the end of it being up very steep, slick rock.

After a short hike on a hot day we made our way to Cooper's Texas BBQ in Llano, TX. This has to be THE BEST Texas style BBQ I've ever had. I picked my rib up off of my plate and the meat slipped right off the bone.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, but we made the best of it. On the way back home we stopped in Dublin, TX. Home of the once famous Dublin Dr. Pepper. We visited the Dublin Bottling Works company for a milkshake, rootbeer float, and a case of their various sodas for the niece and nephews to try back home.

You know, it's very refreshing to see someone with a stock 4Runner out camping and doing all the outdoor "adventuring" with a good old Coleman ground tent.
You're actually out enjoying the places that truck takes you without spending thousands and thousands of dollars on all the latest gear just so you can overload your instagram with sweet manufacturer hashtags.

Thanks Throwback! I have a Gobi stealth on order, and would like to add the SSO bumper w/ a winch. Maybe some KO2s, and that's roughly all I plan on adding to this rig. I've already spent thousands and thousands of dollars on my Jeep toy, I'd like to enjoy this one for the simplicity and comfort as is.

There will be lots of wheeling and lots of camping, no hotels. Just me in my 4Runner and the best man from my wedding in his 2016 Jeep Renegade Sport (stock). I will update and post pictures as we go.
Leaving FW, TX on the 16th for Denver. Then leaving CO for DFW on the 23rd.
Trip will consist of:

Windows tinted today. 30% front doors, 20% on the rears, Clear UV film on windshield, and flags added to rear.
Damn Cement is a fine color. Love the flags! Saw one similar to yours in La Grande, Oregon...so jealous...I've got an SR5 Premium, I'm thinking about adding some TRD items...I would love a Cement paint job, just don't know if I can justify the 5-6k it'll cost =/

This color is what made us buy it the day we did. I'm really digging the flags. I wouldn't go and re paint for the color. That money can be better spent elsewhere.
