I got a "warning" for having the phone in my hand while passing by a cop that had another guy pulled over.

Don't play dumb you where using your phone otherwise this would not be a post about text to talk not working.

Driving with something in your hands is also very dangerous for pedestrians and other drivers. Anyway you cut this scenario you are in the wrong.

You are driving a 4800LB weapon that not very nimble at all.

You will be all na that's other people not me. One day you total your truck by turning someones 12 year old into meat paste and you will turn around and blame it on the parents. You just don't seem to grasp the concept.

I've found the easiest way to avoid texting while driving is to punch yourself in the face on behalf of every other driver who is undoubtedly fantasizing about doing it for you. A highschool friend now has permanent disabilities and her parents both died from someone texting while driving. Seriously, get off your ****ing phone, you're not a child and you know better.

If you text and drive, you are a complete DB.

I was just passingn it back to my kid. Not trying to do anything youre accusing me of. I dont have to even type in a passcode, just picked it up, handed it back. I USED to be abke to access the sterring wheel buttons to make a call, hang up, even text. Now, since i got the iphone XS max, nothing works.

As much as i understand people’s anger about texting while driving, maybe before yall put on your judge robes, you could not jump to conclusions.

Instead you seem to want to pass the burden of responsibility to an officer that was doing exactly what he/she should have done.
