I changed the battery in my 2011 Trail 4runner yesterday and now the Navigation Unit is not working.
History--the touch screen stopped working well about a year ago. I replaced the screen but 2 new screens only worked intermittently. Everything else worked on the Navigation Unit worked.
The Navigation DVD is broken and not in the slot but still everything else except the touch screen was working.
After replacing the battery, the only thing that works on the Nav. Unit is the door to the CD/DVD which opens and closes. None of the other buttons work. No audio. The screen displays "No DVD"
I charged the battery fully. I am going to disconnect for 10 minutes or so and reconnect to see if that does anything. I am going to look at the fuses. #26 and #29 maybe?
It looks like I might need a new unit but what a coincidence that it almost completely stopped working after replacing the battery. Does the Navigation DVD need to be present for all to work?
